Acqua Summer 2011

Welcome to my blog! This blog was written by an exchange student who had been to Mexico for a short summer program. During my sojourn in Mexico, I had been studying in Tech De Mont, a prestigious, rich and well-recognized international university in Mexico. The courses that I took include basic Spanish and Introduction to the Mexican's Culture. I was a Singaporean undergraduate in National University of Singapore, NUS.

This blog is divided into different topics according to various themes and period: Arrival to Mex, Memoir's of my host family (8 parts).

Dear students,

Congratulations on being selected to participate in the AcquaSummer programme in Mexico this May!  Thank you for joining me today at the pre-departure briefing, it was a pleasure to meet you.  I have attached a copy of the pre-departure slides for your reference, as well as the student information Excel sheet (which you’ll need to complete).  As requested, I’ve also attached the contact list for all participants of the programme this year.

As mentioned at the briefing, my office will be collating all supporting documents which we will courier to Tec de Monterrey’s Campus Queretaro for processing.

1. ONLINE APPLICATION FORM (To complete immediately)
The online application form is a two-stage process.  It is recommended that you complete the first stage immediately, so as not to delay your application for the programme.
Stage One – Please visit the Tec de Monterrey admissions webpage at http://studyinmexico.mty.itesm.mx/admission.php and follow the steps listed below:
·         Under the heading “Exchange Students”, click on the weblink for “Admission Application Form”.
·         For “Type of Admission”, select Non-Degree Seeking Student.
·         For “Campus of Your Interest”, select Campus Queretaro.
Stage Two – After completion of the online form in Stage One, you will receive via email (within 24 – 48 hours) your username, password, weblink and instructions to access another web page called SIM (Study in Mexico) with the real Application Form.  Complete this online form with your General Information, Academic, Medical and a student declaration stating that you agree with the terms and policies.
If you encounter any difficulties with the online application system, please contact: ip.mty@itesm.mx
