Acqua Summer 2011

Welcome to my blog! This blog was written by an exchange student who had been to Mexico for a short summer program. During my sojourn in Mexico, I had been studying in Tech De Mont, a prestigious, rich and well-recognized international university in Mexico. The courses that I took include basic Spanish and Introduction to the Mexican's Culture. I was a Singaporean undergraduate in National University of Singapore, NUS.

This blog is divided into different topics according to various themes and period: Arrival to Mex, Memoir's of my host family (8 parts).

FW: AcquaSummer 2011 - Ready to go?

Hi all,

Catherine raised a very good question! It was previously mentioned at the pre-departure briefing, but I'll recap it again here for you.

If your flight into Mexico is transiting at any airport in the USA, you MUST possess a transit visa (unless you are holdng the passport of a country in the Visa Waiver Program). This includes holders of Malaysian and PRC passports. More details here: http://travel.state.gov/visa/temp/types/types_4383.html

As Singapore is on the Visa Waiver Programme, holders of Singaporean passports transiting through the US need not apply for a transit visa. However, you will need to register your transit online via the US Government's ESTA system and pay a USD $14 fee for this. More details here: http://travel.state.gov/visa/temp/without/without_1990.html

Hope this helps!

Orion

Hi,
Do we need to apply for US visa waiver before we depart?
Thanks,
Catherine.
