AGREEMENT MADE AND ENTERED INTO BY:

pursuant to the following RULES and CONDITIONS:
The “FAMILY” belongs to the “Host-Family Program” from the International Programs Office of the
Technological Institute of Superior Studies of Monterrey, Queretaro Campus, being the most important objective to participate in the mentioned program by providing room and board to a foreign student studying at the ITESM CQ and in exchange for that, the FAMILY will receive an economic remuneration.
The FAMILY guarantees to be legitimate owner by due title of the house located at _______________________________________________________________________.

RULES
1. THE COORDINATION will mean the titular person of the Coordinacion de Estudiantes Internacionales del Departamento de Programas Internacionales del Tecnologico de Monterrey [Foreign Student Coordination, International Programs Department, Technological Institute of Monterrey]
2. THE COMMITTEE will mean the Program Committee of Host Families integrated by staff of the Technological Institute of Monterrey, Queretaro Campus.
3. FAMILY provides lodging and meals to STUDENT and the latter accepts, at the house described in by the Family before, during the period of time comprised between _______________________________.
4. Lodging will include the following:
I.-A room for private use, with at least:
- sufficient space and light
- a bed with its mattress, a mattress cover, a sheet set, a quilt, and at least a pillow,
- a study table and chair or equivalent.
- a closet with hangers and reasonable room for keeping stuff.
II.- A large and small set of towels.
III.- Availability of, at least, a complete bathroom (shower, washbasin, toilet, mirror and towel hanger).
IV.- Availability of a dining room, TV room, patio, garden, study-room, kitchen in use with all the appliances thereof, as well as the common use rooms and/or spaces, except for the other FAMILY members private use rooms.
V.- The meals per day (breakfast, main meal and dinner).
VI.- Room cleaning and in general cleaning of all the rooms used by the STUDENT.
VII.- Cloth washing and drying, except dry-cleaning and underwear cleaning.
5. The FAMILY guarantees the STUDENT privacy, and the STUDENT on its turn is bound to respect the other family members' privacy.
6. It will not be THE FAMILY's duty to provide STUDENT with a telephone device, a computer, TV, music or video players or any other luxury item in his/her bedroom.
7. The FAMILY must provide the STUDENT with unlimited Internet access.
8. STUDENT represents he/she receives all items and areas he/she will be using in good conditions and he is bound to return them in the same conditions by the end of his/her stay.
9. The STUDENT will notify the FAMILY what is the food of his/her preference, and FAMILY will therefore try to have sufficient food variety.
10. The amount of food consumed by the student will not imply, in any case, the increase or reduction of the amount paid agreed upon the parties.
11. STUDENT will respect the house decorations, and save express authorization by the titular holder, will not introduce other furniture into the house. It is not allowed to nail any kind of items to the walls.
12. Parties agree that even though the FAMILY is not bound to wash the STUDENT’S underwear, he/she will be entitled to use the house’s washing appliances.
13. FAMILY will deliver a set of keys for any and all locks the STUDENT requires, which he/she must return the day in which he leaves the house.
14. The facility has a telephone line, the number of which is ______________________, and which STUDENT may moderately use only for local phone calls. STUDENT is not allowed to make any calls to cellular phones or national or international long distance calls nor is he allowed to use pre-paid cards to make them. Nevertheless, the STUDENT may receive local and international phone calls with no limits whatsoever if the STUDENT agrees to pay for any expenses generated from these actions.
15. In the event the STUDENT has made any cellular or long distance calls, with or without previous authorization, he/she must pay for the cost thereof as soon as he/she is required payment by the FAMILY, in receiving the phone bill.
16. If any of the parties wishes to terminate the contract in advance, this must be done with the Coordination, the FAMILY and STUDENT at least a week in advance to termination date.
17. If STUDENT leaves the house without previous warning of his/her desire to terminate the contract at least a week in advance, the COMMITTEE may consider to charge a penalty in favor of the INSTITUTION.
18. If STUDENT decides to terminate the contract in advance, it will not be the Committee's duty to assign a new family for him/her.
19. If the FAMILY cannot comply with its duty of notifying within the specified term, it will accept any sanction imposed by the Committee.
20. If the FAMILY decides to terminate the contract in advance, it will not be the Committee's duty to assign a new student.
21. FAMILY commits to, whenever a problem arises with the STUDENT, try to solve and discuss the problem, and in the event the problem continues, to notify the Coordination.
22. In the exceptional case of conflict between the STUDENT and the FAMILY due to the interpretation, fulfillment and application of this contract, if no peaceful agreement can be reached, signers will submit to the Committee's resolution.
23. Neither the Queretaro Campus of the Technological Institute of Monterrey nor any worker thereof in particular will respond for the eventual duties arising between the FAMILY and the STUDENT (for instance, duties to repair arising from a felony or fault committed by the FAMILY against the STUDENT, or from the latter against the first.)
24. The FAMILY may ask the STUDENT a week before the end of the month if they want to stay for the next period of time or whichever time he/she wants to stay with the family.
25. Payment of the rent includes the services of water, electricity, gas and phone, the latter only for local phone calls and with the specifications and restrictions established in clauses fifth and sixth.
26. A delay in payment will not imply the FAMILY to stop complying with duties acquired herein.
27. The FAMILY may never tell on the STUDENT for a missing payment.
28. FAMILY is bound to:
1. Provide the STUDENT with three daily meals during the whole week. In the event the student arrives late to any meal, the FAMILY will leave the meal ready. Whenever it is not possible for the FAMILY to prepare or leave any meal ready, they will arrange with the STUDENT some way in which to sort this out.
2. Provide the STUDENT with laundry service for all of his/her clothes, except for dry cleaning or underwear.
3. Change his/her bed clothes once a week.
4. Provide at least a towel, toilet paper and soap.
5. Discuss the house rules immediately after the STUDENT’S arrival.
6. Give STUDENT a duplicate of the house keys.
7. Notify STUDENT in the event they must be absent from home for some days.
8. Respect the student’s study hours.
9. Maintain the house in optimum conditions and especially the STUDENT’s room.
10. Not to use or move from their place, save for cleaning, any of the STUDENT’s objects or furniture.
29. The STUDENT is bound to
a. Not to consume, introduce or let anyone introduce, any alcoholic beverages into the house.
b. Not to smoke inside the house, save authorization in writing by the FAMILY.
c. Not to receive any visitors in the house after 10 p.m. unless with the FAMILY's permission. Likewise, not to let visitors or friends stay in the house after ten at night.
d. Not to admit people from the opposite sex into their bedroom.
e. To notify the FAMILY if they are planning to spend the night outside the house.
f. To moderately use and enjoy the house and other furniture and things belonging to the house, without excessively spending the objects and services provided by the FAMILY.
g. Not to make any parties or meetings in the house save agreement in writing by the FAMILY.
h. To notify in writing to the FAMILY in the event they are planning to be absent from the house for several days, whichever the cause.
i. Not to introduce animals into the house.
j. To respect the family members resting schedule.
k. To try to integrate to the family customs and traditions.
30. The FAMILY will definitely be left out of the Program for lack of honesty if they make any arrangements with the STUDENT without the COMMITTEE'S AUTHORIZATION, different from the ones established herein, such as: an increase or reduction in the monthly payment, way of payment, stay extension, etc.
31. Parties know that family or student changes can only be carried out with the Coordination’s authorization, and they will only be possible before the day: ___________________________________.
32. Non-compliance of any of the rules established by both parties woll be worthy of sanctions imposed by the COMMITTEE.
Having read the contract, and knowledgeable of its scope and value, parties execute it in triple, two copies in Spanish and one in English, for the Student, on ____________________________.
